Our next big event! The HPS Wellness Committee is excited to bring Chris Herren to Haverhill for a free presentation to Haverhill Public Schools students and families. Chris will speak about his road to recovery. This event will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at Hunking School from 6-8pm. This is a powerful story that adolescents need to hear about- a Celtics NBA player from MA who has been in long term recovery since 2008. Chris inspires people to start the- conversation on wellness and educate themselves on the disease of addiction.

WELLNESS RESOURCES AVAILABLE! RAFFLE BASKETS! TRANSPORTATION!  Community organizations (NFI, Lahey Behavioral, Merrimack Valley Prevention & Substance Abuse Project, Eliot Behavioral Center, YWCA, Learn to Cope and many others). Counselors will be available after the event for follow up. Transportation is available, sign up on the ticket registration link/QR code. This is a free event sponsored by the City of Haverhill Youth Activities and Mental Health Fund.  Please note that this presentation focuses on substance abuse.
